Shirley  Mabe
Shirley Mabe, age 68 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Tennessee Valley Healthcare System - Alvin C. York (Murfreesboro) Campus in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Shirley was born Saturday, January 14, 1950 in Sparta, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Henry and Maudie Marie (Whitaker) Mabe.

Shirley was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Shirley is survived by:

3 Daughters: Shirleen (Mabe) and Roger Stewart of Sparta, Tennessee
Christine (Mabe) Golden and Frankie Taylor of Rickman, Tennessee
Michelle (Mabe) and Chad Walker of Rickman, Tennessee

Son: Jerry Mabe of Sparta, Tennessee

13 Grandchildren: Josh Key, Destiny Vickers, Billy Jr. Golden, Dustin Golden, Jordan Golden, Angellica Flowers, Latasha Stockton, James Walker, Chris Walker, Jaden Mabe, Ashlee Mabe, Beth Mabe, and Stephanie Mabe.

5 Great Grandchildren: Brooklyn, Bentley, Z.Jay, Carter, and Cameron

3 Brothers: William, Calvin, and Donnie Mabe

Mother of his Children: Barbara Mabe

Companion: Kathy Smith

Son-In-Law: Billy Golden

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Shirley was preceded in death by: Son, James Mabe and Brother, Claudie Mabe.

Shirley chose cremation and the family followed his wishes and a Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.

Celebration of Life for Shirley Mabe will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Taylor's Providence Freewill Baptist Church from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Inurnment will follow in the Taylor's Providence Cemetery.
